The Life Grant was established to assist at-risk youth taking their first steps in building a career, regardless of what that may be. The Hill Country Optimist Club Life Grant are non-renewable grants created to recognize graduates who have demonstrated the initiative and dedication to continue their education or seek career training. The scholarships are awarded up to the amount of $500.
Creating a quality workforce is one of this country’s greatest needs. Giving at risk youth the opportunities, skills and support they need will greatly help in that endeavor. The Life Grants goal is to give graduates that little extra assistance in building a career. The Life Grant is open to any graduating high school senior at the Meadowland Charter School. Additionally, the student must enter a college/university, vocational/technical institute, or job training during the Fall 2017.
Students are encouraged to apply by May 12, 2017. Note: Incomplete applications will not be considered.

- Two Recommendation Letters (one school staff, and one non school staff)
